It is a contact adhesive based on polychloroprene and resins in solution with very high thermal resistance, approximately 110°C.
It is applied with a brush on both surfaces to be glued, thoroughly cleaned of any traces of grease and dust, and allowing the solvent to dry perfectly.
It has an open time of approximately 10 minutes at 25°: this feature, combined with rapid evaporation of the solvent, allows the parts to be joined in a relatively short time with a very strong initial hold.
When spraying, ensure the surfaces of the materials to be bonded are clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, or other residues; if necessary, wash with a suitable degreaser. Spray the adhesive onto both surfaces from a distance of approximately 30-50 cm, adjusting the mix and the shape of the jet from the nozzle to distribute the product in sufficient and uniform quantity; we recommend using a spray gun with a pressure of 3-5 atm. After waiting for the solvent to evaporate (5 to 20 minutes depending on the ambient temperature), join the surfaces by pressing carefully. It is essential that the coated surfaces are free of traces of solvent before sealing, especially when bonding non-absorbent materials; otherwise, the unwanted formation of bubbles could occur, compromising the bond's strength.
The dry product is odorless, flexible and resistant to aging.
The adhesives demonstrate excellent initial bond strength with strong peel resistance immediately after mating the parts.
If you wish to check the bond strength with tensile tests, please note that the final hold develops after at least 48 hours.
Packaging:
1 kg can, 4.5 kg tin and 16 kg jerry can.
Storage and Warranty:
CLP342900 must be stored at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C in its tightly closed original containers, in a well-ventilated area, and away from direct heat sources. Guaranteed stability under these conditions is 12 months. Particularly low storage temperatures (especially in winter) cause significant reversible thickening of the product and, consequently, more difficult distribution. Stir well before use.
